Moldovan rowers Mihai Chihaia and Elena Glizan won silver at the U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the Chihaia-Glizan duo became world vice-champions in the mixed canoe slalom event in the 500 meters distance.
They finished the race with the time of 01:53.465, almost 2 seconds behind the winners Aleksandr Bots-Ekaterina Shliapnikova (01:52.570), who contended at the competition in Plovdiv under a neutral flag.
The U23 Canoe Sprint World Championships were held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
