A man aged 40 was arrested for 72 hours on suspicion that he raped an 11-year-old girl on a street in Sângera town of the municipality of Chisinau last month, IPN reports.
According to the Police, the man forced the girl to have sex with him by constraining her physically and psychologically.
A criminal case was started against the man over rape. The man faces 10 to 20 years behind bars.
The suspect had been earlier tried for similar offenses and for theft.
