A 39-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years in jail for sexually abusing his minor daughter during over three years. He was also sentenced for child pornography, IPN reports.
The man, who is from Rezina district, in 2017-2020 had sexually abused his daughter younger than 14 who was in his care. Also, since 2017 he had viewed, offered, possessed and used over 21,000 pictures and more than 1,000 videos showing child pornography.
The man denied any wrongdoing. On January 11, the Buiucani Court of Chisinau sentenced the man to 15 years behind bars. Remand detention was maintained until the coming into force of the sentence.
The verdict is not yet final and can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
