A man aged 36 from Chisinau was sentenced to 13 years in jail for murder committed with special cruelty. He stabbed the victim for 91 times, as the medical examination report shows, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, on March 8, 2023, while in an apartment in Botanica district of Chisinau, following a quarrel with another man, he stabbed the latter in the abdomen, head and neck. The victim died as a result of severe bleeding, while the culprit left the crime scene. He was later arrested and remanded in custody.
The sentence is not final and can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
