Consumers of SA Apa-Canal Chisinau will pay more for water and sewage. The new tariffs approved by the National Agency for Energy Regulation provide for an increase of about one leu per cubic meter for both drinking water and sewage and wastewater treatment services. However, the approved rates are lower than those initially requested by the operator, reports IPN.
According to the decision approved by ANRE, the tariff for potable water supply will be 14.03 lei per cubic meter, compared to the current 12.99 lei.
For the public sewerage and wastewater treatment service, ANRE has approved an average rate of 7.40 lei per cubic meter, compared to 6.63 lei currently. For domestic consumers, the rate will increase to 6.63 lei per cubic meter, from 5.63 lei, while for non-domestic consumers it will remain unchanged – 10.16 lei per cubic meter.
Furthermore, ANRE has approved a rate of 7.66 lei for a cubic meter of technological water, 4.57 lei lower than the previously applied rate, and a rate of 6.27 lei for a cubic meter for the production and transportation of water for redistribution, an increase of 2.05 lei compared to the current rate.
The new rates will come into effect after the resolution is published in the Official Gazette and will replace the rates approved in March 2025.
