The lack of precipitation in the recent period increases the risk of vegetation fires in several regions of the country. The Authority for Meteorology and Environmental Monitoring has issued a yellow code for fire danger, valid until July 17, reports IPN.
According to the authorities, the reduced amount of precipitation has favored the drying of vegetation, and under these conditions, the fire can spread rapidly. The population is urged to exercise caution and adhere to fire prevention measures.
The warning particularly targets the south and center of the country, but also some districts in the north, including Soroca and Balti.
Authorities recommend avoiding the use of open fire near lands with dry vegetation and adhering to safety rules to prevent fires.
