A copy of every book published in the Republic of Moldova will be sent to the National Library of Romania – the new beneficiary of the legal repository. The Moldovan Government today approved a draft amendment to the Publishing Law to this effecty.
Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan stated that, taking into account the new technologies, in order to offer new reading opportunities, new definitions have been introduced, such as “electronic book”, “audio book” or “resource”. The definitions for “edition” and “re-edition” have been updated.
Also, the National Book Chamber will change its name to the National Book Chamber of the Republic of Moldova.
