The National Public Health Agency said that more than 80% of the total doses of flu vaccine have been administered by now. Seroprotection is generally obtained 2-3 weeks after vaccination, and the duration of post-vaccination immunity varies between 6 and 12 months, IPN reports.
Cases of seasonal flu have not been recorded so far.
Between October 28 and November 3, more than 4,000 cases of acute upper respiratory tract infections were reported, mostly in children (62%). The data show a 18.8% decrease compared to the previous week and a 21.2% decrease compared to the same period last season.
Also last week, 52 cases of COVID-19 were registered, of which 16 in children younger than 14.
