Moldova’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 Natalia Barbu will take the stage in the first semifinal on May 7 the 11th. The running order of each country competing in the two Eurovision 2024 semifinals was posted on the official Youtube channel of the Eurovision Song Contest, IPN reports.
According to a press release of Teleradio-Moldova, which is a member of the European Broadcasting Union and the local organizer of Eurovision, 14 other countries will compete in the first semifinal alongside Moldova. These are: Cyprus, Serbia, Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, Poland, Croatia, Iceland, Slovenia, Finland, Azerbaijan, Australia, Portugal, and Luxembourg.
In the second semifinal on May 9, the competitors from Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Denmark, Armenia, Latvia, San Marino, Georgia, Belgium, Estonia, Israel, Norway, and the Netherlands will take the stage.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will take place in Malmö, Sweden, following last year’s victory by Loreen, who became the first female double winner in the history of this song competition. The Swedish singer’s first win was in 2012, with the song “Euphoria”.
Last year, Moldova was represented by Pasha Parfeni, who ranked 18th in the grand final with the song “The Sun and the Moon”. Moldova’s best result at Eurovision was in 2017, when the band SunStroke Project ranked third with “Hey, Mamma”.
