The Prosecutor General’s Office will assess the actions of the persons involved in maintaining the security of persons at the Chisinau International Airport on June 30, when a citizen of Tajikistan who was banned entry into Moldova grabbed the gun of a border police officer and opened fire, IPN reports.
At the request of the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office, the attacker accused of double murder at the airport will be remanded in custody for 30 days. The man was injured in an exchange of fire during the siege and was hospitalized. His state of health worsened.
The criminal case started against the attacker is handled by the Chisinau Prosecutor’s Office. The victims of the attacker are border police officer Sergey Muntean, 31, and aviation security officer Igor Ciofu, 40.
