Ukraine is preparing to introduce several additional sanctions against entities from Russia and those supporting Russian aggression by the end of the year, announced the leader from Kiev, Volodymyr Zelensky, reports IPN.
The Ukrainian president has stated that at least one sanctions package will be approved, targeting those who work in the Russian military-industrial complex, and includes individuals from both Russia and China. According to Zelensky, restrictive measures will also be applied to those who justify Russian military aggression against Ukraine, promote Russian influence through culture, as well as athletes who use their professional career and public attention to glorify the Russian invasion.
At the same time, the leader from Kiev has also announced that Ukraine is collaborating with European institutions in developing the 20th sanction package of the European Union, whose main objective is to increase pressure on the energy assets of the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, and the oligarchs connected to him.
A new package of sanctions against Russia is also being developed by Canada, mentioned Volodymyr Zelensky. He assured that Ukraine will continue the processes of synchronizing sanctions.
