Imported vehicles can be registered at any ASP subdivision providing registration services, even in the absence of original documents or with only a copy of the registration certificate issued abroad, IPN reports.
If until now the owners of imported cars who did not have all the necessary documents had to take their car to one of the three identification offices in Chisinau, Balti or Cahul, now they can directly approach the nearest ASP subdivision.
Previously, specialists would perform the technical inspection of the car there, and due to the large number of requests, the procedure could take up to three days.
According to the ASP, the necessary documents and information will be transmitted electronically between the institution’s subdivisions, including for checking the car’s history in the country from which it was imported.
