The former spokesperson for the state enterprise Moldatsa, Anastasia Taburceanu, has returned 500 thousand lei from the money received from the state enterprise. The statement was made by the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, who specified that she will continue to return the amounts collected, reports IPN.
“Yesterday, Anastasia Taburceanu returned 500 thousand lei. She will continue to do these things. She must do these things”, declared Igor Grosu.
When asked how the money was refunded and to whom it was transferred, the head of the legislature said he did not have this information.
Anastasia Taburceanu resigned from her position as spokesperson for the state enterprise Moldatsa at the end of June. The decision was made in the context of the scandal caused by revelations about her income within the institution, according to which, in less than a year, she would have collected over one million lei from Moldatsa.
Anastasia Taburceanu, who is the cousin of President Maia Sandu, was also the spokesperson for ex-Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. The head of state mentioned that she was unaware of her cousin’s employment and income, and asked her to return all the money received.
