A minibus carrying 20 passengers skidded off the road and ended up in a field near the village of Starcea in the Glodeni district. As a result of the accident, five people required medical attention, four of whom were transported to the hospital, reports IPN.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, the number of passengers in the minibus exceeded the transport capacity provided. The 47-year-old minibus driver was tested for alcohol, and the result was negative. The police are documenting the case to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
In this context, law enforcement recommends drivers to adjust their speed to road conditions and not to carry more passengers than the vehicle’s capacity allows.
