A flying object was found fallen to the ground near the Chisinau-Basarabeasca route. The police were alerted by a citizen and intervened on the spot, where they secured the perimeter. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense announces that last night five drones were detected in the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the air attacks launched by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, reports IPN.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police, the object is to be examined by specialists to determine its origin, type, and the circumstances under which it arrived in the area. So far, the authorities have not specified whether the found object has any connection with the overflights reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The Air Operations Service of the National Army announces that, in conjunction with partners, it monitored five unauthorized overflights of the airspace last night. The first drone crossed the state border from Ukraine into the Republic of Moldova at 03:56 AM, near the locality of Beleaevka, in the direction of Palanca, Stefan Voda district, and returned to Ukraine a minute later.
The second drone was spotted at 03:59 AM, coming from the direction of Starokazacie, Ukraine, and entering the airspace of the Republic of Moldova near the locality of Caplani. It disappeared from the monitoring systems at 04:10 AM, in the vicinity of the locality Carahasani, Stefan Voda district.
The third drone crossed the border at 04:09 AM, in the direction of Palanca-Crocmaz-Olanesti-Purcari-Rascaieti. At 04:24 AM, it disappeared from radars near the town of Pervomaisc, in the Transnistrian region. The fourth drone crossed the border at 04:16 AM, in the area of the town of Palanca, and immediately returned to Ukraine, in the direction of the town of Maiaki.
Another flying device was monitored around 05:50 AM, near the Saiti-Lesnoie border crossing point. It crossed the territories of both states, and at 06:02 AM it left the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, moving towards Ukraine.
For now, the authorities have not specified whether the object found near the Chisinau-Basarabeasca route has any connection with the overflights reported by the Ministry of Defense.
