A bomb scare targeting “Natalia Gheorghiu” Theoretical High School was reported to the police. The bomb squad found no explosive devices when examining the building. A criminal case was started on this case. The incident comes just a week after bomb hoaxes were experienced by three high schools in the capital city, including “Natalia Gheorghiu” High School.
The Chisinau Police Dirvision’s spokeswoman Natalia Stati has told IPN that the call informing about the placing of an explosive device was received at around 08:50 a.m., through the 112 Emergency Service. All the specialized services travelled to the scene. The students and teachers were evacuated. The area was cordoned off.

Following checks, suspicious objects or explosives weren’t detected. Investigating officers are taking the necessary steps to identify the person and establish all the circumstances, the press officer said.
Under the law, the caller faces a fine of 27,500 to 42,500 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or at most two years in jail.
