A man and his child, aged 3. died of natural gas poisoning in a household in the village of Gura Bâcului in Anenii Noi district. The man’s wife and the couple’s older child were taken to the hospital earlier.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that the two got poisoned by gases emanated from a boiler.
Contacted by IPN for details, the mayor of the village Lilia Brehova said that the family called the local ambulance service and the woman and the 6-year-old child were taken to the hospital by an ambulance. At this point it is not clear why the man with the 3-year-old child were not taken to the hospital.
Lilia Brehova had only words of praise for the family, specifying that the man and the woman were hardworking and the children attended the kindergarten.
