The consumption of natural gas last month was 93.9 million cubic meters, which is by 31.4% less than in the corresponding period last year. According to SA Moldovagaz, this indicator is by 2.2 million cubic meters or about 2.3% lower than in January, IPN reports.
Until the end of February, household users paid 92.7% of the billed amounts, which is by 0.5% more than in the corresponding period last year. In the case of non-household users (legal entities), the figure stands at 93.5%, which is by 3.6% less than last February. The enterprises operating in the energy and heating sectors paid the bills in a proportion of 50.2%, which is by 49.5% less than in the corresponding period last year.
A number of 374 consumption units were disconnected form the natural gas distribution network last month. The debts of the owners of these units totaled about 7 million lei.
According to SA Moldovagaz, the payments for the natural gas consumed last month represented 82.3% on February 28, 2023, coming to 2.254 billion lei.
