The Central Election Commission decided to impose an additional penalty on Șor Party. The party will be stripped of state budget allocations for a year, from January 1 until Decembers 31, 2022. Today the party was warned again about the use of undeclared funds totaling 21,665 lei, IPN reports.
The Commission’s vice president Pavel Postica, rapporteur on this subject, said Șor Party staged an electoral event on December 3 and didn’t declare the costs associated with the concert given at that event. Also, the Bălți Police Inspectorate informed the electoral bodies that a group of sympathizers of the party were distributing bags with food products to protesters not far from the venue of the event, close to the Bălți Court.
The Commission was also notified by independent candidate for mayor of Bălți Nicolai Grigorishin of campaigning on Decembers 4 (the day prior to the scheduled runoff) by Șor Party’s candidate Marina Tauber, but this was an electoral silence day.
CEC submitted the Bălți Police Inspectorate’s notice to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and the complaint about campaigning during electoral silence to the Bălți Police Inspectorate.
