Beneficiaries of all types of state pensions and social allowances whose monthly amount does not exceed 5,000 lei will receive a one-time payment of 1,500 lei. The payments will be granted on October 1 only to beneficiaries residing in the Republic of Moldova. The Cabinet approved amendments to the 2022 State Social Insurance Budget Law to enable the measure.
Additionally, the Government approved a 1,000 lei monthly benefit for child care up to the age of two, for all children, regardless of whether their parents have insured or uninsured status. Also from October 1, the monthly benefit for raising twins or multiple children born from a single pregnancy up to the age of 3 will be increased from 370 to 500 lei per child.
The authorities also plan to keep the 700 lei payments for the cold season. Approximately 245,000 beneficiaries will qualify for this aid this year, with the Government earmarking an additional 50.2 million lei for this purpose.
