The Moldovan Speaker Igor Grosu, together with a group of MPs, wrote in the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The legislators laid flowers and observed a moment of silence.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away at her residence at Balmoral Castle, Scotland, on the afternoon of September 8, aged 96. She was the longest-serving sovereign of Great Britain. Having become queen at the age of 25, she celebrated the 70th anniversary of reign in February of this year.
