The lifeless bodies of a married couple were discovered on Monday in a household in the Criuleni district. According to preliminary information, a conflict allegedly erupted between the two, during which the man is believed to have shot his wife, then committed suicide, reports IPN.
The General Inspectorate of Police states that law enforcement was alerted to the case by the daughter of the two, aged 15. They went to the scene, where they found the bodies of a 47-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman.
During the preliminary examination, the forensic doctor detected gunshot wounds on the bodies of the two individuals. The weapon used was also found at the scene. According to the police, it was illegally possessed and appears to have been homemade. The weapon is to undergo forensic analysis.
Law enforcement continues investigations to determine all the circumstances under which the tragedy occurred.
