A girl aged 8 who was reported missing by her family from Bravicea village of Călărași district on Wednesday evening was found dead in a local pond, IPN reports.
The child’s disappearance was announced through the social media and locals mobilized to look for her. Reportedly, the girl suffered from autism spectrum disorders and could not speak.
The General Police Inspectorate said the parents announced the disappearance at about 6:30pm. “Searches were launched immediately and the minor’s body was found at about 8:45pm in a privately owned pond not far from her home. An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances,” said the institution.
