An Moldovan internationally sought for drug trafficking has been brought to the Republic of Moldova by the International Police Cooperation Directorate of the General Police Inspectorate. The action was carried out in collaboration with the United States Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, reports IPN.

According to the authorities, the man was internationally wanted at the request of the Briceni Police, being targeted in a criminal case involving drug trafficking.

Upon arrival in the Republic of Moldova, during the inspection carried out by the Border Police, several documents with clear signs of forgery were found on the suspect. These include a passport, a driving license and a Moldovan identity card.

According to the IGP, the man will be investigated both for the offenses for which he was sought, as well as for the possession and use of documents suspected to be false.
