Batrîncea about future of PCRM-PSRM Bloc

The Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists will form one parliamentary group. None of the representatives of the two political entities that formed the bloc proposed constituting two distinct groups, said Socialist heavyweight Vlad Batrîncea. According to him, the parties led by Igor Dodon and Vladimir Voronin reached consensus on all the political actions. Moreover, Batrîncea is sure that none of the bloc’s MPs will be tempted to defect to the PAS group, IPN reports.

MP Vlad Batrîncea noted there is an affinity of ideas and views between the Socialists and the Communists and this makes them remain united in Parliament.

“The process of forming the bloc was much easier than we anticipated. We easily reached an agreement on the way of conducting the election campaign. We knew from the start that we must combine forces and go on. After the elections, when we held a common meeting with the leaders of the parties and with MPs, no one came with the idea of creating different groups. We have similar views,” Vlad Batrîncea stated in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel.

The MP also expressed his conviction that the group of the PCRM-PSRM bloc will remain united. According to him, none of his mates tolerate party switching and intend to join the PAS group so as to help the ruling party obtain a constitutional majority.

“We resisted the temptation during the time of Plahotniuc, when our MPs were offered fabulous sums. No one allowed to be bought. An attempt was made to corrupt (Ștefan) Gațcan, but he took a balanced decision and returned to the group. I think none of the current MPs is able to switch groups. Decent, upright persons entered Parliament,” stated Batrîncea.

As a result of the snap parliamentary elections, the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and the Socialists gained 32 seats of MP out of 101.
