Bomb scares at airport, Parliament, Government and other institutions

A number of bombs threats were reported at state and private institutions. These include the Parliament Building, the Government Building, courts, shopping centers, hospitals and the Chisinau International Airport, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said that the target institutions were warned about the planting of explosive devices through email. The police were notified immediately.

Expert services travelled to the scene to determine all the circumstances.

Two bomb threats were reported on Monday at the Chisinau International Airport. They both turned out to be a hoax.

Intentional misleading about an act of terrorism is punished with a fine of at most 42,500 lei or 180 to 240 hours of community service or a maximum jail term of two years.
