A new border checkpoint is to be created on the Moldovan-Romanian segment – Leova-Bumbăta. The Government approved the signing of an agreement with the Government of Romania on the setting up of this frontier post, IPN reports.
Under the bill, when this is created, the checkpoint will enable to accelerate and facilitate the crossing of the state border by persons and units of transport, to ease transfrontier traffic and to reduce the waiting time at other frontier posts that are now crowded.
The Leova-Bumbăta frontier post will be opened when the appropriate infrastructure is built and the necessary staff is assigned.
