Meteorologists have issued a new yellow heatwave warning for Friday, applicable to the southern and central parts of the country. The air temperature will reach 35 degrees, reports IPN.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, extreme temperatures will be recorded in the central and southern districts, with highs varying between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius.
Over the weekend, temperatures will drop by 13 degrees. “We expect maximum temperatures between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius”, specified Ghenadii Rosca, the head of the Weather Forecast Department, for IPN. According to him, the trend of constant increase and decrease in temperature values will continue in the following weeks.
Citizens are urged to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, especially during peak hours, to hydrate adequately, and to opt for clothing made of natural fabrics and in light colors.
