Rescuersintervened in the south of the country on sections of local road that were muddied. Firefighters were called out to Alexeevca village in Cahul district, where a bus running on the Chisinau-Giurgiulesti route got stuck in the mud, IPN reports.
The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations said that specialized teams with heavy trucks helped to facilitate movement on the muddy roads. The bus of the Chisinau-Giurgiulesti route with seven persons onboard was also towed away.
Also, following the heavy rain on Friday morning, five families in Valeni village of Cahul district asked rescue and firefighting teams to pump the accumulated water out of their yards. In order to efficiently manage the situation and support the citizens, the Inspectorate mobilized response teams from the south of the country with six motor pumps.
According to the Inspectorate’s data, the rescuers and firefighters in the last 24 hours dealt with 33 risk situations.
