Fines of tens of thousands of lei in the Florești district for illegal burning of vegetable waste

Several residents of the Floresti district have been penalized for the illegal burning of vegetable waste. The violations were detected by environmental inspectors during raids and checks carried out in the area, reports IPN.

The total amount of the fines amounts to 35 thousand lei. According to the Environmental Protection Inspectorate, the inspectors also identified an illegal cutting of five trees in the village of Soloneț, Roșietici commune. A fine of 5 thousand lei was imposed on the responsible person, and the damage caused to the environment was estimated at over 3,800 lei.

Also, as a result of actions to combat illegal fishing, the inspectors recovered damages to the fishery resources valued at over 133 thousand lei.

IPM warns that the burning of plant waste, unauthorized tree cutting, and illicit fishing constitute violations of the law and may result in administrative or criminal liability. At the same time, authorities reiterate that adherence to environmental protection standards is a shared responsibility that contributes to the conservation of natural heritage.
