A man aged 43 was sentenced to 25 years in jail on two counts of rape and an attempted rape against his minor biological daughter. The sentence was passed by the Central Hâncești Court, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the man in 2016 – 2023 had forced sexual intercourses with his biological daughter who was under 14 at his domicile in a village in central Moldova.
In 2019, in similar circumstances, he tried to forcibly have sex with his daughter for several times, but failed owing to the resistance put up by the girl.
The man denied any wrongdoings.
The sentence is not yet definitive and can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
