Fuel prices continue to rise. Increased prices are announced for June 24 by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). A liter of 95 octane gasoline will cost 23.50 lei, 13 bani more, while diesel will become more expensive by 26 bani per liter, reaching 20 lei, reports IPN.
Fuel prices are rising in Moldova due to tensions in the Middle East, ANRE recently explained: “The increase in oil prices on the international market is influenced by the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Iran, which generates additional uncertainties in the region.”
The regulatory agency specifies that Moldova entirely imports the petroleum products it consumes, and the domestic prices directly depend on the developments in the international market.
