Application can be summitted for the Chevening Scholarships, which provide students with full financial support to undertake any eligible master’s program at over 150 universities in the UK while gaining access to a wide range of academic, professional and cultural experiences. Online submissions will be accepted until November 5, IPN reports.
The scholarships, funded by the UK Government, are awarded to all individuals who can demonstrate that they have the commitment and skills to become future leaders and who can justify how a master’s degree obtained in the UK will help them bring about positive change in their country. A mandatory condition is the return of students to their country of origin for a period of at least two years after the completion of their studies, in order to bring a positive change at home, said the British Embassy in Chisinau.
“We have fellows from over 160 countries. I’m continually inspired by the passion and commitment of those in the Chevening community and look forward to meeting the next generation of leaders,” said Emma Hennessey, Program Coordinator at the UK Foreign Office.
“If you are passionate about promoting change, whether locally or globally, if you want to be the best at what you do, and have the imagination to inspire others, then a Chevening scholarship can be the perfect opportunity for you,” said British Ambassador in Chisinau Fern Horine.
Since the creation of the program in 1983, over 57,000 professionals from all over the world and over 100 from the Republic of Moldova have had the opportunity to take their careers to a new level through Chevening. This year, the program offers over 1,500 scholarships. In the Republic of Moldova, the program is coordinated by the British Embassy in Chisinau.
To be eligible, the person must be a citizen of the state participating in the program, have at least two years of work experience. More information on the application conditions and other details is available on the program’s website.
