The candidates for the position of Attorney General will be interviewed on August 19th. The date was set by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, which declared the files of both candidates eligible – Alexandru Machidon, interim Attorney General, and Victor Furtună, interim chief prosecutor of the PCCOCS, reports IPN.
Today, the CSP has reviewed the files of the two candidates and found that they meet all the legal conditions for participation, declaring them eligible for the next stage – the interview. The meeting on August 19 is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
The competition for the position of Attorney General was launched after, at the end of May, the post became vacant following the appointment of Ion Munteanu as a judge at the Supreme Court of Justice.
