The Ukrainian delegation handed the Russian side a list of over 500 missing children during the second round of negotiations in Istanbul, according to a source from the publication “Verstka” familiar with the investigation into the transfer of Ukrainian children to Russian territory.
The list also includes about 50 children who, in the fall of 2022, were taken from a children’s home in the Kherson region to the territory of occupied Crimea.
According to “Verstka,” the list was compiled based on data provided by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), as well as information from child protection authorities, the police, and the Office of the Ombudsman. In many cases, the deportation of children was confirmed only during the investigation of criminal cases.
