MP Vasile Bolea has announced his intention to run in the presidential election of October 20. He will represent “Victory” bloc, which was formed in April in Moscow and is headed by fugitive politician Ilan Shor, IPN reports.
“I know it will not be easy, but in this fight for the presidential seat, or rather to help the country break the impasse, to raise this country from its knees, to fight for the well-being of the citizens, it will not be easy, but I’m convinced that in this fight we will achieve victory, together with the team. We have an important task to accomplish in the next period. First of all, it goes to the restoration of normal relations with our traditional partners, with our old friends, such as the Russian Federation, Belarus, other CIS states,” Vasile Bolea told a press briefing.
MP Marina Tauber will serve as the head of the electoral staff. “The athletes are determined people who, if they start something, always complete it. And we believe that Mr. Bolea will win the presidential election. Our entire team, of “Victory” bloc, will support him,” said Marina Tauber.
Vasile Bolea ran in the November 2023 local elections for the position of mayor of Chisinau municipality, on behalf of the Renaissance Political Party. At that time, he accumulated 2.41% of the poll (6,334 votes).
