Three young people have extended their prison term after escaping from Penitentiary No. 10 – Goian of Chisinau municipality last autumn. They were caught and returned to prison on the same day, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, while they were in detention, the perpetrators asked the guard for medical assistance, complaining of headaches. In order to transmit the necessary medicines to them, the prison employee opened the cell door. At that moment, he was attacked with the tail of a mop and hit in the frontal lobe. In this way, the prisoners dispossessed the guard of key and left the block. Then, by climbing the guard buildings, they also left the territory of the penitentiary.
The Buiucani Court of Chisinau City recently sentenced two of the young people aged 18 and 19 to another two years in prison, while the third young man – to another year and a half behind bars.
The sentence is not final and can be appealed.
