Yellow code for heatwave. Temperatures will exceed 33 degrees

Meteorologists have issued a yellow heatwave warning for Monday, July 14th. The maximum air temperature will exceed +33 degrees Celsius, reports IPN.

According to the map of the State Hydrometeorological Service, the phenomenon targets the south and center of the Republic of Moldova. The yellow code is not valid for several northern districts: Briceni, Edinet, Drochia, Rascani etc

During the heatwave period, in the crowded public places of the capital, mobile points with drinking water will be organized and medical workers will be present, responsible for measuring the blood pressure of the population from risk groups, specifies the Chisinau City Hall.

During periods of high temperatures, it is advisable to consume two liters of water per day, as well as to avoid alcoholic and sweet carbonated drinks. It is also recommended to reduce the intensity of physical effort at midday, protect yourself from the sun during the noon hours, wear light-colored clothing made from natural fibers, and avoid swimming in stagnant water pools.
