Andrei Uncuta, the Director of the “Timofei Mosneaga” Republican Clinical Hospital, has been appointed as the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health. The decision was approved during the Wednesday meeting of the Government, reports IPN.
Andrei Uncuta has been leading, since 2020 to the present, the “Timofei Mosneaga” Republican Clinical Hospital, the largest hospital institution in the Republic of Moldova. He has previously held leadership positions in the medical system and in public administration. Among these are the head of the Medical Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, deputy medical director of the Institute of Emergency Medicine and deputy minister of health.
According to the Minister of Health, Emil Ceban, in his new role, Andrei Uncuta will contribute to the implementation of development and modernization objectives of the medical system. At the same time, he will coordinate the areas of pre-hospital and hospital medical assistance.
Also, the new Secretary of State will be responsible for implementing investment projects in health, including the construction projects of regional hospitals in Balti and Cahul.
