Another 18 Moldovan citizens evacuated from Lebanon arrived last night at the Chisinau International Airport following the repatriation coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the operational support of IOM Moldova and IOM Serbia, IPN reports.
The Moldovan citizens arrived in Chisinau from Lebanon, Beirut, via Serbia, Belgrade. Once landed in Chisinau, the IOM Moldova Team provided immediate medical and psychological assistance, information on how to access medical, psychological and social services, distributed food and water supplies, and granted transportation to Chisinau, Criuleni and Rezina.
“This support follows the technical assistance provided by IOM Moldova and IOM Poland to the Moldovan authorities on October 3 to support the repatriation of 11 Moldovan citizens fleeing the crisis in Lebanon for their well-being and safety,” reads a press release.
