A drone equipped with an explosive device was discovered on Tuesday in the village of Tudora, Stefan Voda district, approximately 500 meters from the border line. According to authorities, the device is active, and due to the imminent danger, the technical-explosive section specialists will carry out a controlled detonation on the spot.
The General Inspectorate of Police specifies that the area is currently being assessed, and the intervention teams are taking measures to identify all circumstances and neutralize the explosive device. All locals within the targeted perimeter have been evacuated for safety.
The intervention is coordinated by the IGP, in collaboration with the National Army engineers, employees of the Prosecutor’s Office, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the Border Police, and the emergency services.
The authorities appeal to citizens to remain calm and strictly follow the instructions of the law enforcement forces.
