Over 60 real estate properties, including buildings and lands, have been transferred from public to private ownership, based on a decision approved by the Government. This measure will later allow for their privatization or valorization. Moreover, several agricultural lands, especially in Chisinau and Anenii Noi, will be reclassified, set to be transformed into lands intended for construction and development, reports IPN.
The document, prepared by the Public Property Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, aims to use state assets more efficiently and increase budget revenues.
The decision comes in a context where a large part of these lands are no longer usable for agricultural purposes, either due to the lack of fertile soil, or because they are occupied by buildings or economic activities. Keeping them as agricultural lands reduces the state’s revenues, given that their value for construction is significantly higher.
The decision also stipulates the updating of the lists of goods subject to privatization, as well as the adjustment of public property records. The authorities emphasize that the measures do not involve additional expenses and will contribute to the efficient use of state assets and increase in budget revenues.
