he Party “National Alternative Movement” (MAN) decided to put forward incumbent mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban for the local mayoral elections of this Novembr. The decision was taken in a conference staged by the Chisnau local organziation of the MAN, IPN reports.
The MAN teams for the Chisinau Municipal Council and local councils of the suburban settlements of the municipality of Chisinau and the candidates for mayor of suburban settlements were proposed for designation.
“We are many, powerful and determined to go on. The MAN party has the best specialists in all the fields, who are ready to work, to become involved and help Chisinau and its suburban settlements develop. We deserve to live well at home and no one will come to clean up instead of us as “a food farmer makes a good farm”,” stated Ion Ceban.
Local general elections will take place in Moldova on November 5. The voters are to elect 898 mayors and 11,058 local councilors, 9,972 of whom will be village (commune) councilors, while 1,086 will be district/municipal councilors. The election campaign starts on October 6.
