President Maia Sandu is paying a working visit to the United States. In New York, the Moldovan official will take part in the high-level segment of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, IPN reports.
The presidential press service said the main theme of the current session of the UN General Assembly is “Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability for all”.
During September 18-20, President Sandu will participate in the debates of the UN General Assembly and in the Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals. On the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 78th session of UN General Assembly, the Moldovan official will have a series of bilateral meetings.
The visit is paid at the invitation of the Secretary General of the United Nations António Guterres.
