A territorial post of volunteer rescuers and firefighters was inaugurated in Radeni, in the Straseni district, with the financial support of the Solidarity Fund Poland. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations specifies that ten volunteer firefighters and rescuers will operate within the station, ensuring the post’s permanent activity, reports IPN.

The intervention area of the station covers the villages of Radeni, Draguseni, Zamciogi, Romanesti, Greblesti, Onesti, Tiganesti, Codreanca, Lupa Recea, Micauti, and Gornoe. The depot includes a garage for two special vehicles, a kitchen, sanitary group, and locker rooms for staff.

The process of creating the post began in 2020, and in 2025 the project received support from the Solidarity Fund Poland, with whose help the fire station was built. The Radeni rescue and fire station is the 25th active volunteer-based post in the country.

Present at the inauguration, the head of IGSU, Colonel Aurel Baciu, mentioned that the new station will allow for a faster response in the first minutes of an emergency situation, until the arrival of professional crews. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Daniella Misail-Nichitin, stated that the fire station is a step towards building a civil protection system that is closer to the citizen, faster and more resilient.
