The number of households eligible for heating compensation has increased, announces the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Natalia Plugaru. According to her, if in November there were approximately 605 thousand eligible households, in January the figure rose by about 15 thousand, reports IPN.
Natalia Plugaru stated to the press that for the month of January, the budget allocated for heating compensation is 469 million lei.
According to the data presented, the majority of beneficiary households are those that heat with wood, approximately 293 thousand. Next are the households that use natural gas, numbering around 175 thousand. In the case of the centralized heating system, approximately 109 thousand households are eligible and another about 45 thousand use electric energy for heating.
Citizens who have not registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform can do so until the 25th of the current month and the compensations will be granted starting with the month in which the application is submitted.
