Gheorghe Budeanu has been appointed as a member of the Supervisory and Development Council of the company “Teleradio-Moldova”. The decision was adopted in a plenary session of Parliament, with the support of 57 deputies, as reported by IPN.
The appointment occurred following the resignation of Sergiu Stanciu. The candidacy of Gheorghe Budeanu was submitted by PAS and he will serve the remaining term.
The Supervisory and Development Council of the “Teleradio-Moldova” Company has seven members. Three are proposed by the parliamentary factions, with a proportional representation of the majority and the opposition, and the other four are appointed by the civil society. The term of office for Council members is singular and lasts for 6 years.
Gheorghe Budeanu has decades of experience in journalism and communication. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the State University of Moldova and has worked as a reporter, editor, and deputy editor-in-chief for several publications in the country. From 2012 to 2017, he was responsible for institutional communication at the National Institute of Justice and coordinated the editing of the institution’s scientific journal, a role which he continues to hold.
In addition to his professional activity, Gheorghe Budeanu is the author of nine volumes of novels and publicist works. Throughout his career, he has been awarded numerous literary prizes, as well as decorations for his involvement in defense actions for the integrity and independence of the Republic of Moldova.
