New financial and military aid for Ukraine from the Netherlands

The Netherlands will allocate €2 billion in 2025 to support Ukraine, IPN reports.

Of the €2 billion aid package, €500 million will go to Ukraine’s Drone Line project, the new military initiative aimed at integrating unmanned aerial systems into frontline operations.

“Ukraine urgently needs drones to stop Russia at the frontline,” Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said in a social media post following last week’s meeting in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart.

Since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine in 2022, the Netherlands has provided Ukraine with a total of €7.33 billion in support, according to the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, The Kyiv Independent reports.
