The Moldovan Football Federation donated sports equipment worth 53,000 lei to the national blind football team, thus supporting the training of the athletes for this year’s international competitions, IPN reports.
The national football team for the blind received 15 gym bags, each containing complete football kits, gala hoodies, T-shirts and training shorts.
In 2025, the national team will compete in the Blind Football European Championship in Krakow, Poland, and the International Football Tournament in Charleroi, Belgium, and will play a friendly match in San Remo, Italy.
The handover event took place at the Federation’s head office. Members of the Federation stressed the importance of supporting inclusive sport and providing equal opportunities for all athletes, regardless of ability.
Moldova Blind Sport Federation president Gheorghe Staver and the institution’s secretary Ștefan Oprea thanked the Moldovan Football Federation for this support, considering it an important step in training the team for future competitions.
